Demon tennis takes 2nd at Great Bend
Gleason highlights first tourney for Dodge City

BOYS TENNIS
The Red Demons fell just one point short of a first place finish at the Great Bend Invitational on Saturday.
Dodge City tallied 26 points but were edged out by Garden City who collected 27.
Singles play propelled the Red Demons to their second place finish. Florian Kark and Brett Groth both won all five of their matches to earn 16 points for Dodge City.
The No. 1 doubles team of Angel Salmeron and Maanz Spaangaeng earned eight points with a second place finish. Richard Rodriguez and Logan Waldman earned two points to round out the Red Demons’ day.
Dodge City will travel to Arkansas City on Tuesday.
BOYS GOLF
The Dodge City High School boys golf team placed fifth amongst eight teams over the weekend at Buffalo Dunes in Garden City.
Luke Gleason was the lone Red Demon to earn a top-10 individual finish. The sophomore shot an 80 to take ninth place.
Dodge City will travel to Manhattan next week.
