Tennis and Golf team takes fifth at Goddard and Garden City
GIRLS TENNIS
The Red Demons took fifth place in Goddard on Tuesday led by senior Daniela Villarreal who made it to the championship match in the No. 2 doubles bracket.
Despite suffering an injury earlier in the day, Villarreal tried to battle through her injury in the championship match but after taking a 4-2 lead, Villarreal fell 8-4.
Junior Leah Stein earned a fifth place finish in No. 1 singles while Hannah Sowers and Marin Dameron finished in sixth place in No. 1 doubles. Abigail Argumendo and Kameron Lowery rounded out the team with a seventh place finish in No. 2 doubles.
The Red Demons will host the Dodge City Invitational on Thursday.
GIRLS GOLF
Senior Makena Konrade led the Red Demons with a fifth place individual finish at Buffalo Dunes in Garden City on Monday. Dodge City finished seventh as a team amongst the eight team field.
The Red Demons will travel to Goddard on Thursday for an 11-team tournament.
