DCHS Boy’s Golf

The Dodge City High School golf team competed in the Great Bend Invitational on Tuesday and finished third. Luke Gleason led them in scoring with a 78 which was good enough for an 8th place individual finish. Following Gleason was Dylan Ratts and Adam Keseen who had an 81, Canyon Owens and Matthew Vogel who had an 82 and Ethan Goertzen who shot a 91. They were in action Friday night at a tournament in Garden City.

DCHS Girl’s Swimming

The Lady Demon swim team competed in a meet in Salina on Thursday. The meet had two separate divisions and Dodge City finished third in both scoring 420 points and 419 points respectively. The Lady Demons placed first in six different events across the two divisions. Dodge City will head to Hays next Thursday for the WAC championship meet.

DCHS Baseball

The Red Demons clinched a share of the WAC title Friday night, being Liberal on the road 5-2. With the win, the Dodge City moves to (11-5, 5-3) on the season. They will take on Wichita Heights and Newton on Tuesday.

DCHS Softball

 Dodge City got into a high scoring affair versus Emporia Friday night and came away 17-13 victors. They are now 10-5 on the season and will take on Southeast of Saline today.

DCHS Track

Dodge City competed in the Garden City Invitational on Thursday and walked away with 12 gold medals. Juan Gomez took first in the 100 and 200 meters, Chidera Okoro took gold in the 100 and 200 meters, the 400 meters, and the long jump. Jason Luft took first in the 800 meters, Marcelo Cruz took gold in the 3200 meters, Savana Wilson took gold in the 100 meter hurdles, Same Unruh finished first in the 300 meter hurdles, Erick Villa won gold in the discus and the boy’s 4×100 meter relay team walked away with gold. Next up for the Red Demons is the WAC tournament at home next week.
