Wrestlers take 9th in Garden City at Rocky Welton Invitational

The Dodge City High School wrestling team placed ninth this weekend at the Rocky Welton Invitational in Garden City by finishing with a team score of 108.5.
Seniors Tylor Garcia, Devon Plaza and Dylan Servis led the way for the Red Demons as all three wrestlers tallied double-digit point totals. Garcia was the highest finisher for Dodge City as he earned second place in the 145-pound weight class. Plaza took third while Servis finished sixth.
The Red Demons were without sophomore Marcos Fisher, the No. 3 ranked wrestler in the 220-pound weight class in 6A, and two other members of the lineup.
Dodge City will host Colby this Thursday for their last home dual of the season.
