DCHS Baseball
On Friday, the Red Demons played in a triangle at Hutchinson, taking on the host Salthawks and Wichita-Southeast. Dodge City split the two, falling to Hutchinson 5-2 but soundly beating Southeast 16-7. The Red Demons are 6-2 on the season and play in their first conference action on Friday when rival Garden City heads to Red Demon Field for a doubleheader.
DCHS Softball
The Lady Demon softball team scored a total of 48 runs in their road sweep of Wichita- Heights on Friday. Dodge City won game one 22-2 in six innings while winning game two 26-15. The Lady Demons have won seven-in-a-row after dropping their first game of the season. They will be back in action tonight on the road in a doubleheader versus Great Bend.
DCHS Boy’s tennis
The Red Demon tennis team was in action on Monday at the Maize Invitational. No. 1 singles player Brett Groth finished in sixth place with a record of 1-2 bringing his season record to 14-2 while no. 2 singles player Josiah
Thomas did not place with a record of 0-3 and a season record of 4-6. The no. 1 doubles team consisting of Zachary Ridgeway and Bryce Harman went 1-2 finishing in 7th place with a season record of 6-5 and the no. 2 doubles team made of Collin Clark and Rolando Lopez went 2-1 in the invitational which was good for 5th place and boosted their season record to 8-2.
