The Dodge City High School “Red Demons” will travel to Topeka to play the “Trojans” for the first round of the KSHSAA 6A Playoffs.
- Friday night will mark the third time these teams have met on the football field, and the second time in the 6A Playoffs.
- The Red Demons faced the Trojans for the first time in 1957, with the teams playing to a [6-6] tie. Dodge City won in 2009 by a score of 35-14.
- The winner of Friday night’s contest will travel to Lawrence to play the #1 ranked Lions, which features KU Football & Baseball commit, Devin Neal.
- The Red Demons will play at Hummer Park, location of the 6A State Soccer Final 4, where the Red Demon Soccer team has goals of playing the following weekend! Hummer Park is the 4A State Football site & also hosted the 2020 Shrine Bowl, which included former Red Demon Beau Foster.
