Lady Demons get strong performance in Hutchinson

The Red Demons girls tennis team competed at the Hutchinson Fairgrounds Tennis Complex Thursday.
The team finished in third place overall, with a wide-range of strong performances.
Red Demons head coach David Snodgrass said it was a good day overall, and got the team where it needs to be going into Regionals, which are scheduled for Oct. 7. Leah Stein continued her strong
play this season, finishing second in the No. 1 Singles. Marissa Wissar also performed well, finishing third in the No. 2 Singles.
In the Doubles, Kameron Lowery and Mireya Chacon finished fourth in the No. 1 Doubles, while Jordyn Trombley and Victoria Garcia finished second in the No. 2’s.
The Tennis team will next play Monday at 10 a.m. in Dodge City, Kansas as the high school hosts the Western Athletic Conference meet.
