The Lady Demon Tennis team turned in a stellar performance Monday, capturing 1st place overall at the Haysville-Campus Tournament. The field included strong competition from Haysville-Campus, Liberal, Wichita-Northwest, and Wichita-South, but Dodge City rose to the top with consistent play across the board.
In singles action, Katie Rouse battled through the #1 Singles bracket to claim 3rd place, while Valeria Reyes dominated the #2 Singles division, going undefeated to secure the championship title.
Doubles play also proved successful for the Lady Demons. The #1 Doubles pairing of Marisol Banuelos and Yaremy Macias finished in 3rd place after a competitive run, while the #2 Doubles team of Addisyn Taylor and Emma Bell captured 1st place with a strong, steady showing.
With two 1st-place finishes and a pair of 3rd-place efforts, Dodge City not only earned top spots individually but also combined for the overall team title. The Lady Demons’ balanced lineup and depth of talent made the difference as they outlasted the tournament field.
