The Dodge City High School Red Demons will host the Hays Indians Friday night at Memorial Stadium.
- This will be the 79th meeting all-time between the two schools. The series dates back to the 1932 season, with the teams having played in 44 consecutive seasons beginning with the 1977 season.
- Hays routed Abilene in Week #5 after a tough loss to Garden City in Week 4. Dodge City stayed perfect in the WAC by beating Great Bend on Friday night spoiling homecoming for the Panthers.
- Dodge City will possibly have two chances to claim a share of the WAC title, with games remaining against the top two conference teams – Hays Friday night & Garden City-next week.
- St. Mary of the Plains College alumni will be honored at Friday nights game as this fall commemorates the 30th anniversary of the final season at SMPC.
