Coming into Friday night’s Western Athletic Conference opener against Liberal, the Dodge City Red Demons wanted to prove that they were the most dynamic 1-2 team in the state. They did just that. Senior quarterback Caden Walters showed why he is the key to the Red Demons prolific offense. Walters finished with four rushing and four passing touchdowns in the 69-0 win over Liberal.
“In all reality, it has a lot to do with two snaps, we really feel like we are a 4-0 team,” head coach Dave Foster said. “So we’ve just tried to get our kids to buy into understanding that we’re not going to act any differently than a 4-0 team.”
