The Dodge City High School Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Kaitlyn Paul as the new Head Boys and Girls Swimming coach of the Red Demons – pending Board of Education approval at the next scheduled meeting.
As a swimmer, Kaitlyn competed for Salina South High School and the Salina Aquatic Club. She still holds many of the top 20 times of Salina South’s program. During her junior year of high school, she started coaching for the Salina Aquatic Club and helped with the younger swimmers.
After Graduation of high school, Kaitlyn attended Fort Hays State University to complete her education. During her time at FHSU, she helped coach the Hays Hurricanes Swim Club for three years and eventually became an Assistant Coach for Hays High School during the spring 2013 and 2014 seasons. Upon completion of her Degree at FHSU in Mathematics Education, Kaitlyn accepted a position with DCMS, where she teaches Pre-Algebra and Geometry.

She understands improvement in all swimmers is vital through the season and to develop goals for each individual swimmer. She brings an enthusiasm to the position that will allow the student-athletes in our swimming programs to reach and exceed their potential.
