The Dodge City High School girls bowling team took 13th place out of 29 teams at the Great Plains Invitational over the weekend. The Red Demon boys finished 26th out of 31 teams.
Junior Makayla Burton led the Dodge City girls with a bakers score of 577.
“The boys and girls bowled well over the weekend and we continue to improve,” Dodge City head coach Tyson Clark said. “The boys were short handed as one of the boys had another commitment he had to fulfill. The girls had a strong finish and competed all day even when things were not going well.”
The Dodge City bowlers will return home this Thursday.
