The DCHS Athletic Department welcomes Red Demon Basketball fans to the 2019- 20 season. This year’s home schedule includes nine varsity home games, featuring some of the top teams in the state of Kansas.

Demons take on Owls in soccer semis
The Dodge City High School Red Demons will meet the top-seeded Olathe West Owls on Friday night in the 6A KSHSAA State Soccer semifinals at Hummer Park in Topeka.
- The winner of the semifinal match will play for the 6A State Championship at 2:00 pm on Saturday. The third place game will take place at noon.
- The Red Demons and Owls are meeting for the first time on the pitch, and for the first time in any sport. West opened in 2017 as the newest high school in the Olathe district.
- The teams do have two common opponents, Shawnee Mission South and Lawrence Free State. Both Dodge City and Olathe West went 2-0 against those teams.
- Dodge City has won 12 of its last 13 games heading into the semifinal match.
- The other semifinal match pits Wichita East agains Blue Valley West.
Demon to host Junction City in playoffs
The Dodge City High School Red Demons will host the Junction City Blue Jays this Friday night at Memorial Stadium for the 6A Regional Football Championship. The winner will advance to play in the Sectional Championship game next Friday night.
- The Red Demons have secured home field advantage through the Sectional Round of the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the West. Junction City is the No. 7 seed in the West.
- Friday night will be the third straight home game for the Red Demons.
- This is the fifth playoff meeting between the teams, with Junction City leading 3-2. Dodge City won the last contest in 2018, 25-15, at Memorial Stadium.
- The Blue Jays lead the all time series 6-3.

Red Demon Soccer hosts quarterfinal round
The Dodge City High School Red Demons will host the Wichita Heights Falcons on Tuesday night in the 6A KSHSAA State Quarterfinals at Memorial Stadium.
- The winner of the Quarterfinal match will advance to the 6A Final Four hosted by Hummer Park in Topeka on Friday and Saturday.
- The Red Demons and Falcons met in the semifinals of the Titan Classic earlier in the season, with Heights winning in PK’s.
- Dodge City has won 11 of its past 12 games heading into the State quarterfinal match.
- Wichita Heights upset Derby 3-2 to reach the quarterfinal match-up with Dodge City.

Red Demon Soccer is appearing in the 6A State Tournament for the fifth straight season, for the ninth time in the past 12 years, and 11th time overall (25 seasons).
Dodge City is attempting to reach the Final Four for the sixth time in school history, and the fourth time in the past five years.
Demons to host regional playoff game
The Dodge City High School football program will begin its playoff march this Friday night as the Red Demons host the Haysville Campus Colts at Memorial Stadium.
Reserved chair-back seats are on sale now for just $6, and are available at the DCHS athletic office during regular office hours.
Walk up tickets will be $6 for adults, $4 for students at the gate on Friday night – and will be general admission. Passes will not be accepted for playoff games.
- The Red Demons will face Campus High School for the fourth time in school history, and for the second time this season.
- Dodge City and Campus faced each other in the 1st Round of the 6A playoffs in 2010, with the Red Demons winning 42-14.
- The last time Dodge City entered the playoffs undefeated was 2010.
- The winner of Friday night’s contest will play the winner of Junction City vs Wichita Southeast in the second round of the playoffs.
- Dodge City is the number two seed in the West and has clinched home field advantage for the first three rounds of the playoffs.
