The Dodge City High School Red Demons will host the Garden City Buffaloes on Friday night in the 83rd Annual Hatchet Game.
- Friday night will mark the 122nd time these teams have met in this storied rivalry. The Demons and Buffaloes have played every year since 1907, thesecond longest rivalry in the state of Kansas. The Hatchet was added in 1938.
- Dodge City leads in the Hatchet game victories (51-30-1).
- Dodge City opened WAC play with a win versus Liberal last Friday night, whileGarden City is still looking for their first win after a (21-20) loss to Hutchinson.
- The next home game for Dodge City will be on October 2 versus Great Bend,and will be the annual Homecoming Contest for the Red Demons.
- Tickets for Friday night will be available for early purchase on Friday after-noon from 11:30-1:30 at Memorial Stadium.
