Demons wrap up busy week

The Dodge City High School girls swimming team wrapped a five-day stretch where they competed in three meets on Monday in Great Bend.
The Red Demon swimmers took third place in Great Bend with a team score of 313 points. They fell just two points shy of Hutchinson who finished second. On Friday in Wichita, sophomore Amelia Richter took second place in the 500 yard freestyle and fifth place in the 100 yard breast stroke. Both of her times were met the state consideration mark.
Dodge City will have nearly a week off before heading to Garden City next Tuesday.
